Tips to Create a Healing Bedtime Ritual

Whether mindfully or not, we navigate our day by making decisions that either honor ourselves and our desires or abandon ourselves to meet the needs of others. Abandoning our own desires too frequently can manifest symptoms in the form of poor sleep as our brain continues to process the misalignments of its needs with our decisions even after the day is over. A mindful bedtime ritual can help to create space to work through these issues without them affecting our rest at night. Intentionally welcoming an evaluation of the day’s events before sleeping is the first step toward working through them in a healthy manner at night.
