The Case for Love: An Equation for World Peace

The Dalai Lama’s visit to Syracuse University in October raised a lot of talk on campus about world peace, for a while. Broad rhetoric on world peace can wear out some students, leaving them with questions like whether world peace is possible and, if so, where does it start? The Dalai Lama explained that bringing world peace on a grand scale doesn’t begin with anything broad or very abstract. The first step is finding inner peace on an individual basis. The idea of world peace becomes more tangible when it can affect things in our daily lives.
