It is not uncommon for a man’s behavior to leave his partner confused or frustrated, concluding that his behavior was irrational. It’s possible that the confusing or cold behavior was driven by irrational subconscious responses, but knowing that does not provide much comfort. Fortunately, it’s possible to use that emotional wiring to deepen a relationship rather than be left cold by it. Five basic needs that men have in their subconscious are: words of affirmation, reassurance and praise; a sense of being respected; a sense of being listened to; sexual and nonsexual affection; physical contact; and intimacy. By endeavoring to meet those five needs, a partner can become a powerful source of positive feelings.
