Sometimes, hearing stories about how others have overcome extraordinary odds give us the boost we need to make our own goals and dreams a reality. The story of Greg LeMond, 1983 U.S. Cyclist, is one of those stories. Going into the final leg of the Tour De France, a brutal 2000 mile bike ride which takes about 21 days to complete, LeMond was 50 seconds behind a two-time champion. Those 50 seconds were counted as so far behind that the race was considered to be over. LeMond, however, set his mind to winning and pulled off one of the most memorable upsets in sports history.
