Making the Most of Your Therapy

The many benefits of therapy are well-known. People who attend therapy sessions report a decrease in anxiety and depression, as well as an increase in confidence and satisfaction in their lives. Therapy is also considered to be an investment in yourself, with each session costing money that you have worked hard for. So, how can you make this investment pay off? Continue to work on your issues outside of therapy; be honest with your therapist and keep the lines of communication open; reach out when things in your life get worse; and, when you plan to end your therapy, let your therapist know.
