Is Your Life a Non-Stop Drama?

We all know someone whose life is constantly on the edge of disaster. These near misses could be avoided if the person was simply willing to give up the attention that comes with constant drama. One way out of this destructive pattern is to become a witness of the drama rather than a participant in it. Taking a step back from unhealthy situations or behaviors and being present with our feelings about them, rather than reacting without thinking, can be the trick that turns off the constant stream of drama. Observing our emotions without having judgments about them is a mindfulness practice that proves incredibly effective.
