Are We Losing Creative Thinking Ability?

One test being used by experts in behavioral sciences shows a decline in creativity in the United States. Since creativity is seen as an important component to overall happiness, some experts are beginning to sound the alarm on what is being called the “creativity crisis.” The test measures several factors involved in the cultivation of creativity, one of which is “elaboration.” The decline in this aspect of our collective ability to create, experts say, shows an overall lack of persistence. Reversing this trend will take time and dedication, but renewed focus on creative thinking is essential to our overall success and attitude.
